The airline Air Loyauté officially took control of the air service between Wallis and Futuna on January 1, 2024. It replaces Aircalin, which had operated this route for more than 24 years.
The public service delegation (DSP) was awarded to Air Loyauté for a period of five years. It is financed by the State and the territory to the tune of more than 600 million Pacific francs per year.
The first Air Loyauté flight between Wallis and Futuna took place on January 1, 2024. It was carried out without incident. The airline says it is satisfied with the first results and assures that it will do everything possible to best ensure its public service mission.
